I would like to nominate Sammie Jo for Employee of the Month. Sammie Jo has been the supervisor for the Addiction Team since May of 2024 and has been doing an exceptional job! In June of 2025, she coordinated the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking BBQ for the community, thus being an Ambassador for MRWH. Sammie Jo and her team provided information for both addiction services and mental health services for a full behavioral health continuum of care! Sammie has also attended other local events highlighting Addictions and MRWH services.
Sammie Jo demonstrates compassion, professionalism, and a deep commitment to support both clients and employees. She leads with empathy and clarity, creating an environment where clients feel respected and supported throughout their recovery journey which supports our value of Individuals Matter. As a supervisor, she is dependable, approachable, and proactive for the department. She provides guidance, and steps up without hesitation when the team needs support. She stays calm and solution-focused during challenging situations.
Beyond her daily supervisor duties, she continually looks for ways to improve processes, enhance team communication, and advocates for both clients and employees. Her dedication has made a meaningful impact on the quality of care that is provided in the department.
